  25. Manuel,
  26.     You should be able to re-start your PPP connection without
  27. any problems, depending on how you connected it in the
  28. first place.  Whatever command you use from the CLI to start
  29. it up, just type it in again.  Hopefully, in your ppp0.config
  30. file you have the "CD" parameter in there.  That way, the
  31. ppp.device will already know that your modem is connected
  32. because of the hardwired CD line in your modem cable.

  34. When a crash happens to me, I just reboot, start up a new CLI,
  35. and type "internet".  Everything reconnects just fine without
  36. redialing.
